The CNC milling center can carry out the process of complex revolving body shape. Milling is to fix the blank, and use a high-speed rotating milling cutter to run on the blank to cut out the required shapes and features.
Traditional milling is mostly used to mill simple features such as contours and slots, while CNC milling centers can cut complex shapes and features. The milling and boring center can perform three-axis or multi-axis milling and boring, and is used for molds, inspection tools, tire tools, thin-walled complex surfaces, artificial prostheses, blades, etc.
When selecting CNC milling content, the advantages and key roles of CNC milling machines should be fully utilized. The following is a brief introduction to the characteristics of CNC milling process:
1.Features of milled workpieces:
Advantages: Simple structure. Using the 5-axis high-speed milling function, it can cut workpieces of various complex shapes.
Disadvantages: Many complex workpieces, thin-walled workpieces, deep and narrow grooves, micro-cutting, etc. are difficult or even inapplicable.
2.The precision of the milling process:
Advantages: The precision is relatively high, and the secondary processing of polishing is omitted for some workpieces. Especially for some non-metallic materials with relatively brittle materials, the accuracy is better. Such as graphite electrodes, due to the high cutting speed and low cutting amount of high-speed milling, the electrode corners can ensure a good sharp corner without causing edge chipping.
Disadvantages: It requires expensive high-precision and high-rigidity machine tools, which cannot be realized for inner corners, and there are reasons such as tool interference and lack of suitable tools, and a fitter needs to be used for secondary processing.
3.Materials for the milling process:
Advantages: Various metal materials, non-metal materials, etc. For materials with lower hardness, the advantage is obvious because of less tool wear.
Disadvantages: Quenched workpieces, expensive tools, high tool life, and very low tool life.
4.The speed of milling cutting
Advantages: Because of the high efficiency of high-speed milling, the delivery time of the workpiece is shortened, and the efficiency is greatly improved.
Disadvantage: The control system of the machine tool is very demanding. High requirements for programming and the technical quality of operators, strong dependence on personnel, unreasonable programming or improper operation, serious accidents of tool collision will occur, and the workpiece will be scrapped or the machine tool will lose accuracy and the spindle will be damaged. Because of these problems, it is difficult to popularize high-speed milling.
In conclusion
In most cases, CNC milling centers have the characteristics of ultra-precision, small batches, and complex processes. Therefore, special machining center cutting oils should be selected when selecting cutting oils.
The special cutting oil for machining center has excellent extreme pressure and anti-wear properties, which can effectively improve the machining accuracy. And it has good versatility and is suitable for various complex processes in machining centers.
Compared with non-specialized rapeseed oil, mechanical oil, and regenerated oil, it can greatly extend the service life of tools and equipment, avoid problems such as rusting and yellowing of the machine, and reduce the overall production cost of the enterprise.
